Default Nightfall - Beautiful Scenery

Who else thinks that Nightfall has absolutely stunning scenery? I'm pretty sure the landscapes are going to rival hotspots of Tyria. Here's a few from the gallery that really impressed me:

Look at this one! I cannot wait for Nightfall, this type of land is going to be a whole lot better to play than in Cantha. What is the Nightfall world called?

Wow. Just wow. I cannot wait to attempt a Grandmaster Cartographer title here, I think a week off work is in aid of. And a week of hard running!

Look at the variation. This is going to be a spectacular experiance. As long as too many bad guys aren't in the way, I'll be exploring that Temple faster than Lady Blue Steel herself!

Beautiful. Absolutely spectacular! I believe this is going to give me that feeling of when I first played in Tyria.

Anyway. I was wondering what everyone else thinks of the new lands! So, if you want to share your comments, and congratulate Anet on this fantastic, stunning environments then don't hesitate to join me!

After the drab murkiness of the Escovald Forest and Kaineng City, I welcome something with...like ...sunlight and stuff.

Read the article in PC Gamer. Don't get too used to the sunlight.

Darkness, or light, the new DirectX9 effects and textures look awesome, I mean, the new login screen is so gorgeous and intricately detailed - it's got me really hyped

i think it's got to be their texture artist that are really making the models so great.

I hope some day the anet 3d artist team will wright abook on how they do some of their 3d work. If their models are so good on low poly models. I bet they will really look good on a high poly model

I will probably read it, once its out on sept 19...

Wait, no sun? Noooooo! You ruined all my hopes and dreams of the nightfall scenery! Well..maybe just dampened them...

I really hope those screens are what we will see for at least half of the game...that would be cool.

Oh, and does anyone know if they will update the factions and prophecies graphics at least a little so it will look more like the ones in the new log-in screen? I hope....

i know what you mean! I even made a pre-searing warrior JUST to get that innocent feeling of confusion like when i made my first character. The game seems so much more enjoyable without the flamers and the complications....

..but maybe that was just the serenading pre-sear music o.0

<---i even got my warrior a bear!!

I HATE KAINENG and the ECHOVALD FOREST.

Many people agree with me on that, that's why I'm Luxon.

Jade Sea + Sunlight > forest with gloomy grayness.

Plus my eyes hurt after so long in dark areas due to low contrast of dark colors + dark colored mobs.

The new locations are breathtaking! They added a shader slider - it takes a major improvement in graphics or a major update to add an additional slider.

Nightfall looks spectacular, but with all of these DirectX10 games coming out for Vista, I really don't think it stands a chance.

your not going to see any online rpg's get best graphics in a general pc game catagory. online rpgs are made so tehy can handle tons oc characters onscreen at once and thus the models have to be lower detail. Nightfall, no matter how good it looks, will not win against games like crysis, which border on the edge of almost photorealism.

if it was best graphics for an mmo, then guild wars might win. but not best pc graphics by a longshot.

I can't wait for NF, the scenery is absolutely stunning, right now I'm bored senseless with the drab dullness of Echovald Forest or the monotone Jade Sea. Plus to Exoudeous, can't wait for Crysis either, it's goin to be SO good .
